Peace Week is a project of SAVE R US (Students Against Violence Everywhere Are Us), a student run anti-violence organization, dedicated to promoting nonviolence in our schools and communities.
Peace Week began with the "Peace Festival" at Council Rock High School in 2001 and has evolved into Peace Week BUCKS COUNTY which involves numerous schools and community organizations throughout Bucks County, PA. In 2005, a spin-off of Peace Week BUCKS COUNTY, Peace Week SWARTHMORE (which, in 2006, became TRI-CO Peace Week) began encompassing three colleges ("tri-co"): Swarthmore, Haverford and Bryn Mawr. In 2007, both Peace Week BUCKS COUNTY and TRI-CO Peace Week will occur simultaneously during the first week of April. For more information on both peace weeks, please click the appropriate button.
Peace Week BUCKS COUNTY 2008 is scheduled to take place May 19th - May 23rd, 2008
Tri-Co Peace Week 2008 is scheduled to take place April 4th-11th, 2008.
